“BEST OF MARYVILLE” ART CONTEST & SHOW
Maryville will host its 7th “Best of Maryville“ Art Contest and Show on March 14, from 1:00-3:00 at the Senior Center. Artists and photographers can enter in 5 different age divisions: K-3rd Grade, 4-8th Grade, High School, Amateur and Open.
Grade School students can enter art work on any subject they choose, but all others must submit their artwork on something in or around Maryville, thus the name “Best of Maryville”. Topics include landscapes, close-ups, and people/animals. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best in Show in each category as well as 1st Place in each topic.
Check the website (www.vil.maryville.il.us ) for an application and more information or call Sharon at 345-1837, Carol at 288-3142, Jean at 288-4191, or Angel -288-1274 to answer any questions. In the event of a major snow storm, the show will be re-scheduled toMarch 21.
The contest is open to the public and everyone is invited to stop by to view the artwork at the Senior Center, 2025 E. Division, Maryville on the day of the event.
